TRIO-Upward Bound Program

Prepares students for success in post-secondary education. Services include summer instruction with emphasis on mathematics, laboratory science, and foreign language. Provides mentoring programs, counseling, and exposure to cultural events. Instills the skills and motivation needed to complete secondary education and succeed in post-secondary education.

Teacher Quality Enhancement

Improves and promotes FSM teacher certification. Develops and delivers content training modules in English, mathematics, science, and local languages. Provides support staff, materials, and equipment.

Talent Search Program

Identifies and assists individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds succeed in higher education. Services provided include counseling, tutoring in English and mathematics, leadership, study skills and career planning. Approximately 600 students per year receive services under this program in Pohnpei State. A Talent Search Program in Chuuk is funded through the University of Guam.
