Dear New Recruits:

Thank you for answering the call to serve. You will join the ranks of our guardians of freedom. Throughout the history of the United States, America has been protected by people who cherish liberty and make sacrifices. The members of the United States Armed Forces, including disciplined men and women from Micronesia, give themselves generously to fight for the power of liberty and the betterment of the lives of others. You will join these honored ranks. Every soldier has earned the lasting gratitude of the American people. You will wear the uniform of those who are building a better and safer world.

America is proud and grateful that you will join us, particularly because you Micronesians are such a very capable people. We share a deep history, common, democratic values and an unshakeable friendship. Thank you for your partnership, which will help both the United States of America and the Federated States of Micronesia to build a more secure future.
